Short amount of internet time (big surprise) So, here goes…Second site visit was incredible. The guy I’m replacing, Koh, is really great, he did make me bike a lot, which I was secretly dreading, but I’m way more in shape now as a result. I biked all the way from Chipata to Chadiza (50k) with all my stuff on my bike rack mind you, and slept on the ground that night, and I was still good to go biking again the next day. My site has two very small huts, one for sleeping and living, and one that serves as a kitchen and food storage area. I also have a chicken coup that Koh is leaving behind if I want to employ its use. We left our homestay families this morning which was really sad, my family was so nice to me and it’s hard to believe that we are already done with training. I passed my LPI, I scored Intermediate Low in Chinyanja, which means I get to swear in as a volunteer tomorrow! On Saturday, we move to the provincial houses, so I will be in Chipata for a few days while we buy all the things we need to equip our homes. Hopefully I can get some journal entries organized during that time and just post a recap of some of the crazy adventures I experienced during training. I love you all, thank you for the letters, emails, and all the encouragement I have been getting.

So you survived the 50K and then-some bike ride? I knew you would! Think you’ll use the chicken coup?
